Hi there! I'm Tara Lee, Owner and Creative Director of Sugarcomb. I have a background in Visual Communication Design from the University of Washington (GO HUSKIES!). I spent over a decade in the design industry, working for large agencies, small studios, and in-house creative teams. I learned so much and my passion for design grew with each role.
In 2013, I realized I was ready for a new challenge. I had always designed wedding invitations, helped with decor projects, and been in many weddings for family and friends (oh, the dresses...). The duality of the process – bringing a design to life through detailed planning (and lists, lots of lists) – was deeply fulfilling. So, I took a leap of faith and followed my dream of becoming a event designer and wedding planner. And I LOVE IT.
